Our Activities
We know that busy campers are happy campers! We have a variety of activities to suit the interests of many campers. Our main program areas are art, music, nature, physical education, boating, and swimming. We end every night with an all-camp evening activity!
Art
Campers work on many different types of projects in our art barn- from clay sculpture to tie dye, we have something for everyone! Our art directors are passionate about inspiring creativity in all campers, as well as embracing play and having fun!
Music
We hire college students or professionals in the areas of music education, theater, music therapy, and other related fields to lead our music programs! Our rec hall features 2 pianos, a drum set, speakers and microphones, other small instruments, and a stage that we use for lots of activities!
Nature
Between our private lake, paved nature trails, nature barn, and 200 acres of land, we have plenty of room for campers to get to know the great outdoors! Deer, rabbits, and frogs all call Camp Marcella their home, and our sensory garden lets campers experience nature using all of their senses!
Physical Education
We adapt our P. E. activities to meet the needs of every camper. Whether we're playing soccer with an over-sized ball, shooting hoops on the basketball court, or playing bocce in the field, there's something for everyone! On rainy days, we love to play in our 2- lane bowling alley and game room!
Boating
Little Mitten Lake is our private lake at camp, and we make good use of it! We have pedal boats, canoes, and rowboats, which we launch from our brand new accessible dock! If your camper isn't a fan of boating, we have an abundance of fish to feed and to catch!
Swimming
We love spending the afternoon in our heated saltwater pool! We swim every day (weather permitting) and it's a great time to cool off, socialize, and listen to some music! Our pool features a zero-entry ramp, as well as a bench in the shallow end. We also have showers, bathrooms, and a first aid/ water station in the pool area!
Evening Activities
Every night after dinner, we get together for an all-camp activity. This could be anything from scavenger hunts, dance parties, an evening swim, campfires, STEM activities, or a talent show! A schedule of evening activities will be emailed to incoming campers so that you know which special outfits or accessories to pack!
